This file will fix issues caused by Malware where you can no longer log-in to Windows XP. When attempting to log-in your system reverts back to the welcome/login screen and it is stuck in a loop. NOTE there are 2 versions of this file, one for SP2 and one for SP3 please follow the instructions enclosed in each file. Choose the correct link below.
Firstly download the following CD-ROM image file.

Select the correct image for your version of windows:
XP SP2

1. Burn the iso file to a cd to create a bootable disk

2. Boot the computer using the new boot disk.

3. This boot disk uses NTFS4Dos follow the prompt and agree to its use by pressing 'y'.

4. At the A: prompt type R: then press enter.

5. To replace your userinit.exe file type "Replace" (without the quotes) at the R: prompt and follow the onscreen instructions.



If the file does not work and you want to reverse the changes do the following


1. Boot the computer using the new boot disk.

2. This boot disk uses NTFS4Dos follow the prompt and agree to its use by pressing 'y'

3. At the A: prompt type R: then press enter.

4. To restore your userinit.exe file type "Recover" (without the quotes) at the R: prompt and follow the onscreen instructions.



Now when you can get into your machine you should update your virus scanner and do a scan. You should also use 'SpyBot Search & Destroy' and Lavasofts 'Ad-Aware' to remove any virus's and spyware.

You should then ensure you have SP3 installed and all the latest windows updates. Its also a good idea to run the disk cleanup tool in windows and manually clear out your temp folders.
