ok, the plan...
I have some old'ish solar panels that i've collected over the years and want to put them to better use.
Currently I have them on an old shead charging a small bank of batteries that are then used to run my electric bike. I'd like to install some 12v sockets round the house to use to charge phones, laptops and run some lighting if needed.
The 12v sockets will be the same connector as the connector in car dashboards as chargers for phones and laptops are generally avalible at a reasonable cost as are other 12v devices such as cool boxes, kettles and lights etc.
I'll need to pay attention to
- Cable sizes
- Fuses
- Cable Lenghts
- Connectors
to ensure the installation is reliable and most importantly safe.
