It was shocking. In a desert in the Middle East dozens of children, some only eight years old were working till 10pm. At times, close by, provocatively clad ladies made approaches to young men. I observed all this first hand, and also witnessed a bizarre parade of sheep which at times appeared in different colours or in skeletal form. And this was in the Strand, London; at a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
