Businesses are being urged to take more action to ensure data on company iPhones is secure, new research has revealed. A study by DeviceLock found that 65 per cent of IT managers had allowed authorised users to access company data via an iPhone. Up to 64 per cent of respondents said that they had not taken any steps to increase security measures to protect information from being accessed by unauthorised iPhone users. Sacha Chahrvin, managing director at DeviceLock UK, told SC Magazine: 'We know that the consumerisation of corporate IT is an increasing problem for IT departments. The amount of removable and mobile memory-enabled devices that employees have on their person at any one time is now quite considerable - be it a USB stick or an iPhone.'
