How to create an icon to put your pc into Standby

Want to be able to put your computer into standby with one mouse click?

With this article you can create an icon that when duble clicked will put your machine into standby. I have this icon in the Quick Launch on my eee laptop and its really useful.

Right click on the Desktop
Click 'New' then 'Shortcut'
In the 'Type the location of the item'

Type : '%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState'

Click 'Next'
In 'Type a name for this shortcut' type somthing like 'Standby'
Now click Finish.

Now if you double click on this icon your computer will automatically go into standby.

You can move this icon into Quick Launch to have your pc go into low power mode with one click.
