This way you can switch a machine on and go away. When you return the machine has fired up, logged in and is ready to use as soon as you unlock it.

 Right click on the Desktop
 Click 'New' then 'Shortcut'
In the 'Type the location of the item'

 Type : 'rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation'

 Click 'Next'
In 'Type a name for this shortcut' type somthing like 'Lock'
 Now click Finish.

Now if you double click on this icon your computer will instantly lock.

You can move this icon into Quick Launch to have your pc lock with one click.
